I think I had better answer this and then let someone else post another question. As Chris correctly points out; the uniform is Saxon and in fact that of a Saxon Zeugfeldwebel: Basically that of an artillery Vizewachtmeister but with no number or cypher on the shoulder strap and the sword worn from an under belt.
