germans marching through london on uk tv

Theres a program coming on tv next Tuesday night featuring clips of German soldiers marching through london - just saw a clip earlier - looked pretty wierd hehe.

Have to check the tv listings...
I'll try to find name of program and time.

There's a movie called "It happened Here" about if the germans had occupied England in WW2. Maybe thats what it was a commericial for?

It was a documentary on BBC2, a repeat called "Invasion" which explored the ways in which Britain prepared for invasions from Napoleon to Hitler.

It showed some short clips of guys dressed as waffen SS, I think they even had a half track following behind.

No doubt the security services were given prior notice of the filming otherwise god knows what would have happened! SS V SAS ?

Would be interesting to find out if it was a particular reenacting group that did the work.

It was probably the 2nd Battle Group, they have done a bunch of movies, including Saving Private Ryan.

OT but a few years ago a small group of people were hired to hand out leaflets in my city centre - dressed in Dickensian period outfits-top hat and tails, and those wonderful large dresses for the ladies (who were very pretty also).

I never knew what they were handing out leaflets for though...
