Is it possible having an idea about how many men had been deployed by opposite armies in Italy in 1943-45?
In particular I'm interested in data about mid-1944 and april 1945
thanks

By early 1945 the Fifth Army contained about 270,000 soldiers (with over 30,000 more awaiting assignments in replacement depots), over 2,000 artillery pieces and mortars, and thousands of vehicles
