Re: Lets see those firearms !
I just recently bought this Kar 98k (RC) from a friend. its a "337"(Wilhelm Gustloff Arms Factory, Weimar) 1940. stock is a little shabby (horrible Russian Laquer's been applied) but the barrel is in excellent condition and accurate to shoot

Re: Lets see those firearms !
Hi folks! This is my 7,62R54 Winchester 1895 russian contract. Not as accurate as my m/39 finnish MN, but very fun to shoot. Kicks like a mule.
I bought mine from gun show many years ago. Should have bought more of these-prices have been rising lately. This one was captured by finnish army in civil war but I quess it may have seen some guard service in supply depot in ww2. Only guessing tough, no hard evidence. These were abandoned by finnish army in 50's.

this together with MG13, Mg42 were captured in Italy by a South African regiment. The regiment guys had heard that some M4's were being shipped to south africa after the war for training. so they hid these weapons in one of the tanks. Recovering them as soon as they landed
wish it were mine though!!!

Re:
It's not a German pistol, but I assume you knew that already because there is an FN-mark on it (FN is Belgian). So the officer had to steal it from another soldier, officer,... to get that gun. I think the pistol for a Kriegsmarine officer is a 9mm Luger.HptmCox wrote:You lucky bastard, lol. I want an MP40 pretty bad, but right now a replica is all i can settle for, and I can't even afford that, and it really isnt worth it either. Gun Show this weekend, who know's what will show up, I saw a american-bringback SVT last time, interesting for an American guy, but the germans stole them all. Here is a picture of the 9mm Browning Model 1910 pistol my Grandfather brought back from Germany. From what my great-uncle said, it was a Kriegsmarine Officers pistol. So I'll take his word for it. It came with a 1944 dated black holster, good stuff indeed. Sorry for lack of quality, I need a new camera.

Re: Lets see those firearms !
I thought I would share some of my nonfiring weapons with the group. As non firing weapons and parts kitsare so expensive I decided to buils my own full size replicas. They are constructed of wood and metal mild steel to avoid our ATF gestapo.

Good replicas, Roland.
Phareen, cool backstory and great rifle. Keep it firing!
Lappland, I've always thought that to be a very interesting rifle and I would pick one up for my collection if the right one crossed my path.
