During the night 13-14th September, 1942 19 Newzealand commandos of Patrol "T1" leaded by Captain Nick Wilder (severely blessed and decorated with the Distinguished Service order) together with other allied troopers and with Mayor Vladimir "Popski" Peniakoff made the most effective action of the Long Range Desert Groop, that's the raid to Barce.
After a 1800 km raid from Fayoum, on six Chevrolet 30 cwt trucks and one Willys jeep they destroyed 16 italian aircrafts and some fuel tanks, and damaged vehicles and buildings of the airport.

much obliged...

are there any pictures of ANZAC forces in combat and fighting with the Germans or Italians.

I saw a picture of two Australian (I think they were Aussies) helping a wounded German POW...does anyone have that (or have a link to the picture)

These pictures were great...just looking for some combat photos of ANZAC forces.

The Australian War Memorial website has hundreds of WW2 era photos.Just go to the Collection Database section and enter into the Search function suggestions like 'Alamein','Desert' etc.
