Hello All ;
You will also never get through to those who still believe that Britain was somehow
relevant to the war effort against the Axis after 1940, and refuse to accept the reality
that they were just a nearly useless appendage of the United States......

You obviously don't understand how Britian deals with major European land powers like Germany. The British tradition is to form a coalition with other powers and to use a combination of intrigue and what I'll call "colonial sniping" to wear the opposition down.
In the Napoleonic wars, that's what Britain did. Instead of direct confrontation with the French, they conducted a war at sea (France being a land power) while carrying out a low intensity war in Spain and Portugal, and gaining allies through diplomacy. Eventually, they wore the French down and ultimately defeated them in coalition warfare.
Same in WW 1, same in WW 2. They were a thorn in Germany's side the whole war. The Germans couldn't ignore them, couldn't outright defeat them, and over time the British gained enough allies that they wore Germany down and defeated them.
Without the British in the war, the US wouldn't have gotten involved (no U-boat campaign) and the Russians might well have been defeated one-on-one. That doesn't make the British "useless." They were the diplomatic glue that held a coalition together that in the end defeated Germany.
