SS-Division "Das Reich" using T-34's

What surprises me is that if they used soviet ammunition were they useful aganist soviet T-34's.

Where the F-34 gun able to defeat the frontal armour of the T-34 in normal combat conditions??

And if not, why then assign the T-34's to a panzerjager abt. ??

The Germans weren't the only ones to use captured enemy armour,

The following link gives an incomplete listing of some of the Red Army units using a total of at least a couple of hundred of them; http://wio.ru/tank/capt/capt.htm

This list contains more numerous and more powerful tanks than the Germans sent to any of their allies! They also seem to have formed an entire independent battalion on captured Hungarian armour.

I also seem to recall from a Zaloga book that the Red Army captured so many Stug.IIIs that they factory-refurbished them and deployed entire units fully equipped with them!

Даже у СС дивизии Мертвая Голова были Т-34 , более того на Бронепоезд ПАНЦЕРЦУГ-70 на крайних платформах стояли без гусениц Т-34 которые в боях под Молдавией в марте 44 года подбили несколько советских Т-34 (по донесениям советских танкистов на вагонах стояли Пантеры как их назвали русские(у страха глаза велики)).
