Archieve in Savigny le Temple - I need help

Post by klimut » 01 May 2013 15:25

I've got a response from CAEF - Centre des archives économiques et financières from Savigny-le-Temple but I'm unable to go to France.

They told me that there are a lot of documents about coal mines which were situated near Sosnowiec and Klimontow. Their official name was Société Anonyme des Charbonnages Mines et Usines de Sosnowice.

Is it possible for some of you to visit this archieves and copy (just make the pictures) of this documents, please? I think most of these documents are in French language and I will send you on e-mail my correspondence with them. I speak very little French.

best wishes

Complicated...

Is that the small city 40km south of Paris? If so, it's at least not too difficult to reach from Gare de Lyon, one of the main stations in Paris.

However, we are still under Covid-lockdown, so I believe the archive is closed down. Have you confirmed one can do copies? Not all sites allow that. Also, going there without knowing what file to copy is pointless - what do you ask the guy at the counter? A sense how thick the documents are would also be useful.

Hello Mori. Let's talk about it after Covid - let's say at the end of the year 2020. Thank you for response. Greetings from Poland
