Heinkel He 111 bomber, but, What version?? He 111B-1/-2, He 111D-1, He 111E-1/-3, He 111F-4 or He 111J-1??? :?
Which are the external differences between these early variants?

I would say it is a late B-2. There are quite a lot smal differences between the models. Most obvious are the engines. I would suggest you try to get "Squadron-Signal - 1184 - Heinkel He111 in Action". It is very helpfull on that.

I would say this stkz pre-dates 1939 when there was an overhaul of the stammkennzeichen system. After 1939 you would either have two letters or one letter wirth a number before the balkan cross. Hence from the era 1937-1939.

After Antonius Raab (co-founder of the German Raab-Katzenstein) left out Germany, forced by Nazis (Raab was anti-nazi), He founded a new company in Greece, called AEKKEA-RAAB and this company also was produced the "Schwalbe"
