I've played west front and east front 2, I also have Europe in flames which cotains East and west front. I'm currently working on the Romanian campaign in east front and some German campaign in west front.

I went to all of those websites, and boy, are those games expensive. Personaly I think the prices are very high. I'd rather buy a book than buy any of those games eventhough I think they are great games.

Actually... you can now buy for Europe in Flames for about 25.00 CAD. This includes two Game CDs and as mentioned above, around 300 scenarios, plus 20 Linked Campaign Games (about 15-20 scenarios each) plus 18 Dynamic Campaign Games (I've played some that have ended up being over 50 scenarios long!!)

Average complexity(about a 5 or 6) - scale is from 1 - 10 and is defined by the number of units on the map - if I recall correctly, a 5 has 141 to 200 units) scenarios take about 2 hours to play (longer or shorter depending on how fast you are).

This means that just for the standalone scenarios you have at least 1000 hours of game time. This assumes you play the scenarios only once.

Adding the campaign games, count on at least another 600 hours of gameplay.

All that, playing against the computer. After that point, and you feel confident and sure of your abilities you can go out and play those scenarios against humans, PBEM. More hours of enjoyment... many many more.

And, assuming you actually have played all the scenarios.. you can go to websites like:

and download user created scenarios for free.. there are HUNDREDS available. Or ... if you want to create your own, the game includes a map editor, order of battle editor AND scenario editor... endless possibilities!!

Now...some quick math... assuming you just take the time to play EACH scenario ONCE... not including the campaigns.

25 CAD divided by 300 scenarios = .08 cents a scenario... or about .04 cents an hour to play.

Expensive? I think not..

Can you tell me any websites that i can buy any of those games for 20 CAD? Because the only prices that I found were around $40. So that IS expensive.

PS... as far as Iäm concerned.. 40 is still an excellent deal for that game package.

The original games were independantly priced high... 50US for West Front, 50US for East Front 2, 25US for WF Sealion...

I have played the East/West Front pack...love both of them. I still play them when I get a chance. The scenerios are getting easy the longer you play, but still great fun. I tried in the past to play via email with another poster here, but we did not have compatible versions. Was really looking foward to trying against a human opponent.
