A friend of mine found that: One march by Hellmann, "Regimentsbefehl" was composed in 1941:

Still can be found at Kliment-Verlag:

Conductor Paul Hellmann

Post by GregSingh » 16 Aug 2017 06:10

I'm looking for any info about conductor SS-Hauptsturmführer Paul Hellmann.

If this is the same person, he is mentioned on this list of fallen 5. SS-Panzer-Division 'Wiking' members, but no date of death:
SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment 9 "Germania" · Musikzug · SS-Hauptsturmführer Paul Hellmann
If we become increasingly humble about how little we know, we may be more eager to search.

He is mentioned in this programme from 8th of March 1942:
Hellmann 8 Mar 1942.jpg

And here as conductor of a Symphony Orchestra (!) of Ersatz Battalion of SS Regiment "Deutschland"

Hello, Greg

I've merged your posts with an older thread dealing with the same conductor. You'll find some additional info in the previous posts.

And thanks for posting those files, I don't remember hearing of Hellmann conducting the Symphony Orchestra of E/SS "Deutschland".

Cheers,
Ivan
