I've recorded the song directly from film for you in mp3 format... Also, since I have various audio editing softwares at my disposal, I touched up the sound quality a bit (removed a little hiss and crackling, and added some reverb so that it sounds better). I hope it soothens the longing for an actual recording a bit, Richard.. ;) The song has been placed on Yousendit, which means it will be available for those of you who are interested in downloading it in the next 7 days. Enjoy! :) click here to download

I am looking for the name of a march, the only way to describe it is to all of you who have seen Sieg des Glaubens. It is then played during the beginning of the Hitlerjugend scene when Hitler arrives in the Zeppeliner and then before Baldur von Schirach starts talking. I even dont know if it is a march if not at least its instrumental.

I would be happy for replies

Regards Richard

I think that is one of Herbert Windt's instrumentals, composed for the movie.

I only have it on DVD and not on my computer so I can't be bothered finding it to see exactly where it is, but it's fairly early on where the soldiers are doing various things at a camp. I thought maybe the music was an original score by Herbert Windt who wrote the main theme but I was just listening to the Hungarian composer Joachim Raff and discovered it's from his first Symphony - 4th Movement. Joachim Raff was a long time friend of Franz Liszt who was a supporter of Richard Wagner, and Wagner married Liszt's daughter, just as a background reference.

No, it's an old song "Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland" composed by Gustav Reichardt (which Joachim Raff later used in his symphony).
- Treue um Treue (from the movie "Tag der Freiheit")
- Wir traben in die Weite (from the movie "Tag der Freiheit")
- O, Deutschland hoch in Ehren (from the movie "Feldzug in Polen")
- Revue-Marsch (from the movie "Feldzug in Polen")
- Ich hab' mich ergeben (from the movie "Sieg im Westen")

- Jugend marschiert (from the movie "Triumph des Willens")
- Die Jugend marschiert - Sieg Heil! (from the movie "Triumph des Willens")
