Tosun,

Do you have any details on commander 4th Eng Co at Gallipoli 1915

This details given on the other site;

Grave and Monument of 4th Engineer Coy Commander Yahya Hayati - Kurtgeçici (Kurt Ketchede in English maps) near Hill 971

Do we known where he came from, what his rank was, the date of his death?

It then had me looking at what unit the 4th Eng Co came from?

I have a 4th Eng Co in the 4th Div at Gallipoli in 1915

I also have a 4th Eng Co 4th Eng or (Pnr) Bn with the 20th Div in 1916 but I am unsure if this unit was in the 20th Div at Gallipoli?

The 4th Eng Bn was part of the 4th Corps per war but the 2nd Eng Co (4th Eng Bn) and the 4th Eng Co show up with the 15th Corps on the Galician Front later in the war.

Cheers

Tosun,

Thank you.

The transcription of his monument must be incorrect?

1st Eng Co was in the 1st Div while the 2nd Eng Bn was in units of the 2nd Corps?

Cheers
