KIA/WIA/MIA Code on Tagesmeldung

Post by PeterIstegal » 09 Mar 2022 11:51

Hi all,
I've always found on the german "Tages- Morgen- Zwischenmeldung" these data, which should be the number of the units losses. However I've never found the instruction on how to read such data. Here an example of the XIV. Panzerkorps, Tagesmeldung 31.10.1944 (https://wwii.germandocsinrussia.org):

a 0/0/2; b 0/3/13; c 0/0/1; d 1/3/10

Others units as the LI. GK, the 1. FJK used the same method. I suppose it was used by all the units.

Does someone know how exactly these data are to be read?
Thanks in advance and greetings from Italy,

IIRC the normal pro forma in HG-C was:

Offizier/Unteroffizier/Mann

A = Gefallen
B = schwere Verwundete
C = leichte Verwundete
D = Vermisst
