Actually Danish Wiki and Danish minority (Schleswig) sites has much more on him than what I could find on German sites. 8O
He is mentioned on Danish Wiki in regards to "Sønderborg Kaserne".

Maybe the artist Henri Julien Félix Rousseau, the man behind the "man with the Fez and cat" painting
