Duan Qirui
Duan Qirui is reported to have spend two years in German military schools and another six months with the Krupp organization. He may have been among the first five students sent by the Qing Empire sometime prior to the Boxer rebellion. He later was Minister of War, and Premier. Wiki leaks, notes he is studying "military science," Are there more precise terms? Command and Control, Strategy etc any date --also would be helpful--Many thanks in advance.

Re: Duan Qirui
Chinese sources for now.
Translated from baidu.com:
After graduating in 1889, Tianjin Military Academy selected 5 graduates to send to the German Empire to study military affairs. Duan Qirui was selected as one of them. Duan Qirui continued to study artillery related knowledge while studying at the Berlin Military Academy in Germany (most likely Preußische Kriegsakademie), and returned to China the following year (1890).
BTW. Tianjin Military Academy had German military officers as instructors.
Link to source of the above is broken, info probably taken from Duan Qirui biography by Peng Xiuliang.

Re: Duan Qirui
Thank you Greg: WorldCat.org, lists 113 works in Chinese with Duang Qirui as the subject, the one listing in English cited, I have read, and it is not in my opinion, well thought out. Again many thanks.
