Can someone recognize this old German military medal for me?

Post by apropro12 » 09 Oct 2020 18:53

Hello. I found this military badge that my great-grandfather owned. But I can’t quite find enough information about it. Can someone help, please? Is it an iton cross?

I think this is no military decoration but a medal from a veterans/reservists club.

K.V. Emmelsbüll 1882

K.V. = Kriegerverein = veterans/reservists club
Emmelsbüll is a village in Schleswig-Holstein near the german-danish border and 1882 will be the founding year of the club.

A similar medal is shown here: https://www.trave-militaria.de/archiv/1 ... eukerk.htm
