Ammunition for Belgian modifications of the 7.7cm FK 16

Post by na4222 » 12 Aug 2022 10:03

Hi all,

Do we know if the various Belgian modifications of the German 7.7cm FK 16 used one piece fixed ammunition?

It seems to me the German 7.5cm FK 16 used separate loading ammunition but I’ve seen photos of these guns on the Atlantic Wall being loaded with one piece fixed rounds, hence the question.

Many thanks.

The Belgian field guns created by the relining of the barrels of 7.7cm FK 16 guns used fixed ammunition, as did the field guns created by mounting the barrels of the older Belgian field guns (75mm TR) on carriages taken from 7.7cm FK 16 guns.
