It's very common to find german post-war maps and drawings (especially 1945-46).jopaerya wrote:I have also a drawing from the Karihaala-Batterie in Kristiansund-Nord ,

After the war, german POWs in Norway were put to work reconstructing maps, drawings and documents that they destroyed before the capitulation, as well as describing technical functions of installations etc that were to be reused by Norwegian Armed Forces.
This topic was also discussed here:
http://www.kystfort.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=7296
There are also several examples of german key personel being kept in Norway long time after the bulk of the POWs were reptriated, as their expertise was in demand to ensure proper training of norwegian personell.
For instance, during my last visit to the national archives, I found a series of letters dealing with two german torpedo-specialists being used for training norwegian naval personell in the maintenance and operation of the german torpedoes. The navy argued for the need to keep them longer than expected to make sure their knowledge had been "completely tapped out". I don't remember exactly how long, but they were not allowed to travel back home to Germany for a few years after the war ended.
They were not treated as POWs, but more like instructors with a small payment and could travel between the naval bases by themselves without guards (they were not volunteers though, as according to the letters they were keen to get back home, but the navy refused).
