Official Munitions Production of the United Statesgives production by plant, so you can construct such a chart if you wish. It is available from HathiTrust and CARL IIRC.toothpickVic wrote: ↑12 May 2020 11:56Hey,

Re: US aircraft production numbers by state
The American aircraft industry was able to adapt to the demands of war. In 1939 contracts assumed single-shift production, but as the number of trained workers increased, the factories moved to first two- and then a three-shift schedules. The government aided development of capacity and skills by placing "Educational orders" with manufacturers, and new government-built plants for the private firms to use.toothpickVic wrote: ↑12 May 2020 11:56Hey,

Re: US aircraft production numbers by state
The USAAF aircraft designation code includes the specific factory the aircraft was produced at. For example, F-5A-1-LO is a reconnaissance P38 manufactured at Lockheed, Burbank CA plant.
A list of the plant codes is available at: https://www.alternatewars.com/BBOW/Desi ... es_WW2.htm. The information is from "Model Designation Army Aircraft" (11th edition) which is available at: https://www.alternatewars.com/BBOW/Desi ... 1th_Ed.pdf
The information would allow you to determine production by state, although somewhat labor intensive.
