I often read about the engagement between the 2nd Armored Brigade and the 15th Panzergrenadier Division around Antelat and Saunnu as a footnote to history.
Is there more too it? The 2nd Armored Brigade is often described as inexperienced and defeated in detail.
I know it is a strategically insignificant engagement that eventually led to the Gazala Line; but is there an author or first hand account that provides more insight? For Reference I have read Peter Willet's Armoured Horseman thus sparking my interest.

There isn't much on it. Probably because it was a monumental stuff-up by British commanders, many of whom were promoted later before finally recognised for the incompetents that they were and sacked.

The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
