Ciao Maurizio

Colins notes that 1 AD has six regiments in two Brigades, three are pure Crusader regiments, the other three one pure Grant, and two mixed. This would give you as follows:

2 Armoured Brigade: 3x52 Crusader = 166

22 Armoured Brigade:
1x52 Grant = 52 (RGH)
3 and 4 CLY:
4x Grant squadrons = 64
2x Crusader squadrons = 32

Total 198 Crusaders and 116 Grants, plus probably some tanks in Brigade HQs, so make it another 20.

No idea how accurate Colins is. He's okay for CRUSADER, but notes that there is no firm data for Gazala.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
