The 89mm war - German - Soviet railroad war

Post by Richard2020 » 28 Jan 2023 17:20

The lesser known story of the gigantic German - Soviet railroad logistics war on the eastern front in World War 2. The roads in the Soviet Union were often substandard and unpaved, turning into seas of mud in the spring and autumn. This and the vast distances made transport by rail the only possible option, and almost 2000 of the Soviet locomotives were produced by US companies ALCO and Baldwin. The result of my reasearch combined with documentary footage compiled in this video describing this deadly, logistical nightmare. https://youtu.be/rl_RRrOtp8M
