what were the armored forces available to the 17th and 1st German armored forces in January 1945?
Question for Art
do you have any information on this?
I know the divisions that made up these two armies, but I don't know if, like the other divisions of Army Groups Center and A, they had assault guns or tank destroyers and if they were supported by brigades of assault guns
thanks in advance

Could you give the German unit names in German ? What you have asked about, "Forces", doesn't mean anything.

I just want to know if the divisions of these two armies themselves had assault guns or self-propelled tank destroyers and also if these two armies had at their disposal brigades of assault guns or other armored units?

There was a link to a report on assault gun situation in the previous topic:

Here are similar reports on tanks and self-propelled guns:

You're right. Including 103 tank brigade. For example, the 1st battalion of the 39th tank regiment of the 17th tank division did not make it to its division and ended up in the 103rd tank brigade.

The picture shows the delivery of Panthers to the 1st Battalion. Also in the documents you can see just sending assault guns to Group A.

Dear Forum,

Which Heer Divisions, repeat, only Heer, were deployed in Prague area before the uprising of 1945 and actually made it westwards to surrender to the US forces. I am trying to identify the units that appear in well known colour films. Some might be in the chart tanks and AT guns above. Heerengruppe Mitte I suppose.

Cheers and thank you all
