I haven't seen any credible evidence that there was a 'battle for the Chancellery'. Are you sure this discussion isn't about the battle for the Reichstag?

This thread was more about what units were around the Chancellery, rather than an actual battle. So no, the fighting around the Reichstag hasn't been confused with the Chancellery.
