US Use Of AAA Searchlights For Battlefield Illumination

The attached series of reports discuss the use of searchlights for battlefield illumination in NWE during 1944 and 1945. The technique was pioneered by the British and adopted by the US starting in the December 1944. The majority of the searchlights were from AAA units and were operated by their troops.

These reports are from the US Army Combat Notes report series. Each report date is listed in the attachment title.
