I just read your question. I looked through my sources but didn't find any detailed information. I was surprised that Le unità ausiliarie dell'Esercito Italiano nella Guerra di Liberazione didn't include a discussion of these units in France. Then again, the book is on the War of Liberation, so focused on events in Italy.

I did a quick look at the US Army Green books. The Quartermaster Corps: Operations in the War Against Germany has a list of the types and number of units provided by the Italian Service Corps units, but no unit identifications (p.723). This covers only the Quartermaster activities, so I did a quick look at Transportation and didn't find any real details. You can check the other logistical volumes, but I doubt you will find much useful information.

ah, ok

thank, it's an unknown story. No wonder there's no trace in italian army documents cause they were not italian army units (opposite to those working with allies in Italy). I hoped US Army had more infos. I'd try to purchase the quartermaster book.

I found some infos on such units in United States but I was surprised when I found some unit following allied forces on western front. Til now I haven't found a pic, I'd like to find one.

PS Pleased to hear you again, Jeff.

No need to buy the books, the Green books are online. US Army History WW2

The Quartermaster history in Europe is HERE. You can search the others volumes as well.

Wiki has a page on these units. Not detailed and mostly on the units in the US, but some info.

Italian Service Units

In the links are some pictures of ISUs in the US. A few of the references might be useful.
