Hi Ivanwss
On one of your picutures of Artur Phleps he has
a machine gun in his hands .
It looks to me not a Stengun because the ammosupply
is vertical just like a M.P 38 and not horizontal like a Stengun.
Could this weapon be a M.P. 3008 or a Gerät Potsdam ?

Hi Jos,
The Sten Mk-II smg magazine piece for easy transport can be turned down(for example across the chest).
By the way, the "Gerat Potsdam" was an exact copy of the Mk-II.
The 3008 had a vertical magazine (like the turned down Mk-II)
Hope this help you.
Regards
Ferran

Here's a photo of Romanian SS Volksdeutsche in mountains of Yugoslavia.
(from Christopher Ailsby's book "Waffen-SS")
I think that they probbably were members of "Prinz Eugen" Division...(?)

Any closer description of the "climbing" pictures above? I see one was taken in the vicinity of Han Pjesak in 1944...
Cheers,
Gaius
P.S. And the one on Lebrsnik...
