Not that it will have any impact on those determined to make up the numbers as they go along, but I found this video discussion very valuable at exorcising any of my remaining doubts as to the ridiculous nature of many German "tank claims":
It looks like I was right about reality and this thread not being connected.

Despite the extremely heavy armored combat, among the proposals concerning the Eastern Front June-August 1944 and approved in this timeframe.. there was only one SS crewman with tank kill claims:
In the fighting at the Tannenberg line from July 26, 1944 onward, SS-Unterscharfuhrer Derk-Elsko Bruins (SS Nederland Brigade) was credited with 5 and 6 kills on two separate days, totaling 11.

German Cross in Gold proposals for armor crewman sometimes have individually credited kill claims as well (for cited combat days).. These claims are typically less than the RK ones. But sometimes just as high.

I am working through the German Cross in Gold proposals of the 2.SS division, focusing on West Front claims:

On December 24, 1944, Untersturmfuhrer Erich Mork was credited with 3 Shermans during the fighting at Lamormenil.

Hello Cult Icon,
isn't it
1943 for those kill claims? This according to my notes from the book by Mark Yerger.
Kind regards
