Who has any information about this unit in Summer 1942?
Who knows Kurowski's book about the german Sturmartillerie (Sturmgeschütze Vor! Assault Guns to the Front)?

The book you mention is acknowledged by many who post on here as being the standard work on the subject.

The only info I have to hand is that the unit marking was a Red outlined shield with a Red Cross on a White background within it.

Csaba
This is what I have for StuG-Abt.201 in summer 1942: June 1942, transferred to the Kursk area and assigned to 2 Army.August 23, 1942 assigned to XXIV Panzer Korps to eliminate the Korofojak bridgehead in the Hunarian 2 Army sector.September 18, 1942 returned to 2 Army control near Voronezh.
Hope this may help a little!
