Does anyone have any info on this unit? When and where formed. Battles participated in, organization, commanders etc or can someone point me to an appropriate reference source?

'Aus der Geschichte Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 12 (SR. 12)' by Oskar Schaub is the book you need. Approximately 290 pages with lots of narrative, maps and statistics.
