Post by Joda » 12 Jul 2022 13:43

Hallo,

I'd like to have your help trying to clarify the history of Sonderstab F (Felmy).
It looks that a little german force remained in mid east also after June 20th 1941....

Please help me... ;)

Thanks in advance

...for example.... searching inside T314 roll, I found this sheet related to Major Mejer Ricks and his staff on June 20th 1941.
Where were they flying to? From where to where and why?? No explanation is along the roll....
Obviously Major Riccks was one of Felmy's high officers...

Many thanks in advance

Why do you think they flew to the Middle East? Sonderstab F was in Athens at the time, this flight originates in Staaken outside Berlin, then continues presumably to Athens where Meyer-Ricks will receive further orders that are not specified.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
