Luftwaffe badge
I have a lot of German characters, but not all of them are known. Can anyone tell me if this is genuine. And the bigger question is whether there is a badge for some of the troop divisions. The screw sign wonders.

Re: Luftwaffe badge
mikaolavi.kiuru,
The so-called "screw mounting" (G: "Schraubmontierung") on the back speaks for a fantasy award from Eastern Europe.
Probably made of simple pewter.
Polish goldsmiths and silversmiths have been making similar badges since the 1970s, often with a very high level of craftsmanship.
Many of them often in 925 sterling silver quality.
In the 1980s and 1990s, a very well-known Polish Goldschmidt made "antique" motorcycle pins for the brands "Indian", Harley-Davidson", "Henderson", etc. for my motorcycle trade.
Herr Krzysztof F. was a master of his craft, his silver badges were absolute best sellers and are now considered rare in circles.
The man now lives in the northern German city of Oldenburg, but I don't know if he's still active...

Re: Luftwaffe badge
Dear Mark,
just my very first impression about this "Luftwaffe" badge/pin, whatever...
In the german language, there is a very typical saying:
Man hat schon Pferde kotzen sehen! / You've seen horses puke!
Stands for: "Nichts ist unmöglich" / "Anything can happen"
But as always, it's just my personal opinion, I've never seen such a badge before, an "eastern" fantasy product for ignorant tourists.
In the end, even small prizes bring reasonably good money into the pockets of the creators.
Can you blame the people there, most definitely not, the buyers are the reason for all this crap...
Wem so etwas gefällt, der soll diesen Mist gerne sammeln...
