Georg Kolbe? The memorial is - according to Wiki - in Stralsund?

Best regards

Which city has carefully recorded the name of every Jewish resident deported by the Nazis on a public memorial?
(And, I might add, kept it scrupulously free of graffiti, rubbish, skateboarders and other signs of neglect and indifference.)

Correct. (Of course it's the only city to have done so. Frankfurt has recorded all the names on the external wall of the Jewish cemetery, and there may well be others.)

Probably the best-known Jewish resident of Frankfurt, apart from the Rothschilds, but I believe they all left in time.

Partial credit? The work was "Galatea" by Fritz Klimsch (1939), but I don't know who bought it.

I thought this looked familiar - Klimsch also did the IG Farben lady, who looked a bit chilly the day I was there.
Sadly, the intertubes have no idea where Galatea is now. She seems to have vanished. Maybe she's hidden away in Moscow?
