Along with Phil, a huge loss to the AHF community. I always found him to be very kind and helpful. He was a Medical Dr. who shared previous heart surgery experiences like myself. Thankfully, we have his books and knowledge to carry on his legacy.

Is there a photograph available of Dieter. I don't believe I have ever seen his visage.

Sorry to hear about Dieter's passing. He was a man of integrity. But let's not forget Mark Yerger when we are naming deceased major forum contributors. Mark was a dedicated forum member up until the end.

Mark also passed away too young . I think he just shy of 60.

I am really glad to read all these nice posts about dear Dieter, he truly was one of the best. I loved his perfectionist moderating style and overall personality, the serious, the witty and any other side. He's been absent from the forum for quite a while now due to health problems and I've been checking his profile at least once a month, hoping to see he's reactivated. And then I got two notifications at once, one for a topic entitled "Dieter Zinke" and the other for "In memoriam". I didn't need to open them to know what they're about :(

Once again, rest in peace, dear man, and thanks for everything.

Note: don't miss the other thread dedicated to Dieter, in the ABR section viewtopic.php?f=5&t=256872 (thanks, Georges, for starting both - you're a true friend and a wonderful forum member).

Even if we haven't had any contact in recent years, I would like to thank you for seven books we shared. Chapeau!
