Here is a Signal article on your very subject or at least what a correspondant does:

Thanks, ckleisch.

By the way, would it be possible for you to scan the article in a bit higher resolution (if it is a wartime magazine - if it's modern, you should rather not to avoid copyright problems), so that the text is readable?

If the resolution is good enough, I could try to make my scanner program read the text so that it could be posted here...

Hi,

I'll compile a list of Kriegsberichter credits from my copies of Signal (1941-42) if that helps?

David,

I would appreciate a list of the war correspondents from your 1941/42 copies of Signal.

Compiled some PK correspondents on my own, these are from all the years Signal was published in (1940-1945) -- still very incomplete though, as I have gone through just about 50% of all the magazines. I have a death card with reference to:

Hermann Königsfeld
Unteroffizier in einer Propoganda-Abteilung
Inhaber des Kriegsverdientstkreuzes 2.Klasse mit Schwertern
und der Ostmedaille

He may have simply been a driver, but thought it may be of intrest. I have no more info' other than the death card.

I was searching for something like this, but cevering them all (not just Waffen-SS).

If it isn't available, maybe we should start a thread for voulenteers on making such a list?

"YES GOOD IDEA"

I found a few SS-Kriegberichter names (I write them just as in the credits)

SS-Kriegsberichter Dr. Walter Best
SS-Kriegberichter Willi Dißmann

SS-PK Aufnahme: Kriegberichter Baumann
SS-PK Aufnahme: Kriegberichter Styhler
SS-PK Aufnahme: Kriegberichter Roth

All names from the 1943 Polizei Taschenkalender for the Schupo. Articles in relation to the SS-Pol-Div.
