They were manufactured by Color-Metal A.G. in Zürich.
Thanks, factfndr54. Do you have any other information ?

Sturm,

From the description of the picture below.
Source: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File ... G_1592.jpg

' Flab-Scheinwerfer im Militärmuseum Full.
Hergestellt von Colormetall in Zürich ab 1942 nach einem Baumuster von Siemens.
Einsatz mit der 7,5 cm Fliegerabwehrkanone 1938 Modell Schneider.
Reichweite 8-10 km, Durchmesser 150 cm, Lichtbogen zwischen Kohlestäben. '

FYI: 'Colormetall' is not correct, the company name is 'Color-Metal'

Thanks, again, factfndr54

According to this information, these searchlights were manufactured from 1942, based on a Siemens model....
Perhaps it was based on the German Flakscheinwerfer 37 but it is not identical....The structure that holds the lamp itself is clearly different, apart from the fact that the German model had detachable trailer axles while this Swiss model did not..... :?

On the other hand, I have found this other image (image 3) of a Swiss searchlight, but in this case with detachable trailer axles. The lamp seems the same of the other model but the carriage and trailer is clearly different.... :?

In summary, I think that there are at least three different models of searchlights in use with the Swiss during WW2:

1: the Siemens model with non detachable 2-axles trailer
2: the model manufactured by Color-Metal A.G. with non detachable 2-axles trailer
3: the model with with detachable axles trailer

Hi all,

An image from Ebay. A small (I think around 90cm) coastal searchlight in Denmark. I am not if a German model or captured ...
