I'm not into armor yet, but armor or aircraft colors need to be applied in the order the prototype was painted. I once knew a Panther Kommandant that told me that a spray unit could be hooked to the tanks compressor for painting in the field if needed. As for colors, the old Xtrada color solvent based colors were the best and most accurate years ago.
