Just as a nitpicking side note from a member of the red cross. These are vehicles of the medical service of the Wehrmacht which have nothing to do with the German Red Cross.

Your second photo is of an Adler W61K built between 1937 and 1939. A very nice photo!
It was also used a Kfz 17 Signals van.

That was why I put a question mark. I was looking on the thread on my laptop just as I was leaving for my shop and the resolution is pretty bad on that small screen. Thanks for pointing it out and now on my office PC I can see the Star.
