Ciao Ace!!! :D

Troops of SS-Heimwehr Danzig in Danzig 1939 with Steyr ADZG of Panzerkraftwagen-Zug der Landespolizei Danzig

Some portions of the 3rd SS Division "Totenkopf "were formed from elements of SS Heimwehr Danzig which was originally SS Totenkopf Sturmbann "Gotze", renamed "Heimwehr Danzig" and formed into Abteilung size, then put under Heer control for combat in Poland. After Poland, portions of this unit were used in the formation of this Division.

Here's a photo with insignia which reminds me a lot of "Totenkopf" SS-Division.
But captions in many books where i've seen the photo told nothing about the unit.

(source (for example): "Zweiter Weltkrieg in Bildern", M.Färber)

Cheers,
Ivan
