Most probably 336 Inf. Div. "Hundekopf".

Hallo carius,

The vehicle in post #1266 shows a vehicle of the 79 Inf. Div. The two superimposed crosses were to be attached to all vehicles up to May 10, 1944.

But this photograph is clearly earlier than 1944, why can't this be a vehicle of 60th Infantry Division (mot) in Russia 1941/42 ? The vehicle is a converted British Morris truck.

Hi Alan, I clearly see two connected crosses in the carius picture. The 60 Inf. Div you mentioned, has two separate crosses.

Pic 1 = excerpt of the picture by carius
Pic 2 = Troop identification 60. Inf. Div.
Pic 3-4 = 79. Inf.Div. Divisionsbefehl 45.

No you clearly see a badly dented mudguard which prevents us from seeing either a clear gap between the crosses or them being joined. Nor is this photograph from 1944 which you specify. The sign could be either division but not in 1944.
