Hi,
Nice photo, a early VW166 (pre-production vehicle), part of the Stab/SS Panzer Regiment 5. probably the regimental commander's own vehicle as it carries a regimental command flag.

Afterh searching through this thread (which is VERY interesting) I noticed that this variant is never mentioned?

It is a Schwimmwagen which mounts a 2cm Gebirgsflak 38. It is the only photo I ever found. Does anybody else have some info about this combination? Was it a prototype, a test? Any production numbers? Where was it used?
