► Photothread: Well-camouflaged vehicles

Post by Christian Ankerstjerne » 15 Feb 2004 21:41

This thread is for photos of well-camouflaged vehicles.

Please only post your own photos, and not photos from books, etc. If there's a photo on a website, link to the entire page, not to the photo!

Here's one to get you started - a schwere Panzerspähwagen (7.5cm.) (Sd.Kfz. 233) in Tunis, 8 December 1942

The one place where you don't want a roll in the hay - one Pz.Kpfw. I and two Pz.Kpfw. II on spring maneuvre in 1937.

Great thread Christian, I was thinking of something like this myself. I have heard a few war stories about the Germans walking within metres of camoflaged US tanks and not even realising.

Ironically, if they are too well camoflaged then there is no point in taking a photo cause you can't see them

Has anyone heard of tank gunners "shooting at the dead bush" after the camoflage starts to wilt and die?
