I think I would lean more towards Bedford MW series vehicle. The only other change I would note is the mounting of a machine-gun.

It is MWD indeed. Have here as an excuse the most radical umbau on MW chassis I've ever seen, yet another Rommel's joke nicknamed "Miefquirl":
