HMS SPURIOUS MARK II' - a bus converted to resemble the island of an aircraft carrier. The bus is being driven along a runway or taxi way at Royal Naval Air Station East Haven at Carnoustie, Scotland.

Hi Bill,

I follow Max and agree with him: great pics You posted.
The bus on the first pic is a Magirus O 145 with a wood gas generator.

Posts 1009 and 1010 are Volvos, though I don't know the type. Both of these images are coming from SA-Kuva and shall be properly signed when posting.

Hi Bill,

to the pic "FinnishTroops_Lapland War" #1009: These are Finnish soldiers. The ambulance is British (Bedford type ML), not captured, but delivered to Finland like many other vehicles. Here two more pics of this Finnish ambulance (source of the pics: SA-Kuva).

Is there any sort of military registration lists for buses/coaches which had been captured from the British?

AFAIK none British buses/coaches were captured from British. All those few on Finnish inventory during WW2 were donated by British.
