French snipers in 1939/1940

Hello,

I am desperately looking for information, photos, technical data concerning French snipers and sniper rifles in 1939/1940.

All I know is that there was an APX17 telescopic sight (no info about the characteristics) for the Lebel already during WW1 and later there was an APX21 telescopic sight.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

The single photo I could find is from WW1 anf I guess it is an APX17 sight :
