An official bulletin dated 17 March 1921 attributed the ranks and privileges of commandant de corps d'armée and commandant d'armée to Division Generals (généraux de division) who were members of the Conseil supérieur de la guerre.
The following generals were members of the Conseil supérieur de la guerre. Can anyone provide information on which rank and privilege they received upon joining the Conseil, and their dates of promotion?
1921 - 1924, 1925 - 1930: Général de Division Charles Marie Edouard NOLLET
1924 - 1929: Général de Division Pierre Georges DUPORT
1931: Général de Division Émile Marie Joseph HELLÉ
1936: Général de Division Henri Joseph MEULLÉ-DESJARDINS
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
AJK

Re: Members of the Conseil Supérieur de la Guerre (1921 - 1945)
hello
instead of rank and privileges who could look like quite Ancien Régime since the night of the 4th august 1789 it is rather simply for these generals rank and appellation/naming
Hellé appearing in 1930-1931 maybe it was because he was only à disposition of Vice-President of the Council, the fact is after that he was was still only Général de Division commanding a Division the 11e DI 23th march 1931 and died with this rank in 1933
Meullé-Desjardins ✟ 1936 after two months at the Council appears at the rank of Général d'Armée according to SHD list, not found dates,
he was probably already Général commandant de Corps d'Armée after reaching the command of the 5th Military Region 11th september 1934
Nollet ✟ 1941 all details can be found here
