As usual, there is a discrepancy between secondary sources.

Werner Girbig's "im Anflug auf die Reichshauptstadt" has two pages about this incident.
Here is a fragment:
The alarm went off in Berlin shortly before midnight, a little later are the French over the totally blacked out city. Daillieres and his navigator see next to nothing, but their calculations are correct. After dropping the small bomb load the Farman sets course for Leipzig.
Basically it is similiar to info in post #5 from 20 Jan 2008.
They flew from the North, not the South as in version from post #14.
