What kind of a nation would Germany be now if Hitler won?
I mean, would Germany eventually see the error of its ways and turn into a peaceful and civilized nation? Or would it remain the oppressive, blood thirsty, uptight, parasitical state that it was during WWII?
The thing I'm getting at is the theory that as societies become more advanced, they show more respect for the rights of others, for life in general, become more peaceful and open minded. Would this eventually happen to Germany if the Nazis had remained in power?
Personally I think that it would. International mass media and contacts with other cultures and societies would have that effect on the Germans. They could surely not remain isolated, xenophobic, racist and close minded for eternity. Look what American and English occupation did to them in only a few years.
Anyone with any ideas on this? Rants?

Well, I am not sure but I think the Third Reich could be the same monster as the USSR wa in the 70-ties and 80-ties. Rememeber that inside the proper GrossDeutschland the life was normal (as far as it can go for the years 1943-1945). The terror was outside its borders. I guess that some human rights activist could start something in the 70-ties in Germany as it place in USSR.
On the other hand, Hitler had a lot of misery with all his Gauleiters who wanted even more power but were unable to rule their territories. After the war, they would have been in power so they would probably create a society similar to what existed in USSR in 1978-84.

I would like to ask the same about Polska and its inhabitants. One more of your boring and insulting threads, DPWES aka General Anders aka HETMAN. I'm currently asking myself, when some people will finally learn, that the war between german and polish people is over.

Xenon, could you tell me why the big fuss? Hetman asked a what if question, that's it. It was about the Third Reich not today's Germany. I don't know where you see boring stuff and insults.Xenon wrote:HETMAN wrote:I mean, would Germany eventually see the error of its ways and turn into a peaceful and civilized nation? [Personally I think that it would. International mass media ]
Hmmm. "If the Germans won", we say... And then continue with "international mass media"? You mean "domestic media"?

I don't think the Nazis would've taken over the world. There's no way they would've invaded the USA.

Aversion TO German people, not ABOUT German people. Read my posts more carefully and you might learn something, such as correct grammar.

Yup, some peasants went on a rampage back in the 40s and now the German media has someone else to point a finger at. Well done.
Anyway, a similar question to the one I posed above was answered by Poland. Remember that we were occupied by the Soviet Union for 45 years, and forced to adopt a system almost as tyrannical as Nazi facism. Not only was Poland one of the most liberal countries behind the Iron Curtain, but also partly responsible for the collapse of communism in Europe. What about East Germany? Those bunch of drones would've still been living under communism if not for Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Those East German fools swallowed every bit of propaganda churned out by the Soviets. How sad.

A very interesting chain of ideas, I'd sayHETMAN former General Anders former DPWES wrote: International mass media and contacts with other cultures and societies would have that effect on the Germans. In the light of these ideas, I'm going just to ask him(and others) a question:
What kind of a nation would Generalgouvernement der Polnischen Gebiete be now if Hitler won?
I'm soooooooooo interested to read his & others' answer..........

Your statement proves your lack of real arguments , combined with the typical arrogance , especially if someone takes a closer look at your older postings : full of grammatic failures and permanent ranting. Sorry to say so, but you are a poor polish guy, full of hate and envy, which could be percepted out of nearly every single sentence you are writing. One of the most aggressive and singleminded members i have ever met in forums.
